About Us
The Crewe Cup is an annual invitational team match play tournament featuring elite amateur players competing in a pure, no-handicap format. Built on competition, camaraderie, and tradition, it uses the game at its highest level to drive meaningful philanthropy at the grassroots level.
The Sixteenth Crewe Cup
Pebble Beach, California
For the fifth time in tournament history, the Crewe Cup returns to the iconic cliffs of Pebble Beach Golf Links. Few venues in the world carry the gravitas of Pebble, a course etched into the Pacific coastline and forever woven into the fabric of championship golf. Host to multiple U.S. Opens and some of the game’s most defining moments, Pebble Beach is where legends are crowned and history is written.
As the Crewe Cup once again unfolds across its storied fairways and along its windswept greens, players will compete not only against one another, but against the same timeless stage that has tested the greatest in the game. In doing so, they add another chapter to both Pebble’s remarkable legacy and the enduring tradition of the Crewe Cup.

Origin
where it all began
The Crewe Cup was established at the same time I founded Crewe Capital, but with a very different purpose in mind. Having experienced both the rewards of entrepreneurship and the hardship of 2008, I knew that building a business, while meaningful, was not enough on its own. I wanted to create something entirely separate, focused not on financial outcomes, but on what makes life truly fulfilling: deep relationships, unforgettable experiences, and the opportunity to meaningfully impact lives through thoughtful and lasting philanthropy.
The Crewe Cup was born from that vision. Inspired by the traditions that define the game at its highest level, the jacket at Augusta, the history and trophy of The Open Championship, and the team competition of the Ryder Cup, we set out to build something timeless. This competition brings together exceptional individuals not just to compete, but to connect, to build lasting bonds, and to use the game as a platform for something far greater than ourselves.

Historic. Unmatched.
Tony Finau led with an undefeated performance and a 68.3 average, while Danny Ainge secured his seventh Crewe Cup victory, becoming the most decorated player in tournament history. Larry Fitzgerald’s 3–1 record helped earn his first title.
Giving, elevated.
The 2024 tournament was not just about the competition, it was also a remarkable success in philanthropy. Over $500,000 was raised for the Tony Finau Foundation and For Others Foundation, supporting youth empowerment and innovative solutions for vulnerable children.
Beyond the game.
